I'm Julia, nn Julie, and I definitely prefer it. Giulia reminds me of Giovanni, and somehow looks male to me.

Julie for two reasons.

1) It will prevent future spelling issues

2) Julia spelled with a J looks beautiful. With the "giu" I first thought "gorilla". I don't know why, but I did.

If I lived in Italy, I would prefer Giulia, otherwise Julia!

hmm...I see. i was just wondering who'd liked Giulia. but if i were naming my daughter, i'd name her Julia

I agree with everyone else on this one, I would definetly name my daughter Julia instead of Giulia.
