Libby is often used as a short form in Britain and Bethan is the Welsh form of Elizabeth, which I think is a really nice name! There are also the pet forms Lisette, Bettine and Bettina. I think the first two are French, and the 3rd is Italian.Rosey.

Bette, as in La Cousine; Isabel/Isabelle/Isabella/Isobel; and one of the prettiest is an Afrikaans version - Elsabe (EL sa bee).

Don't forget Her Majesty's childhood nickname: "Lilibet", I believe.

Elzbietka is a CUTESY form of Elzbieta, but no one really uses that - the more popular pet form is Ela (The z actually has an accent over it, a little dot)
