Just spent quite a time reading everyones posts. Most people here seem very nice and not afraid to be helpful.

My question is this....I went to Jr. High school (now known as "Middle School") with a girl named Shellagh. I liked the name (not the girl) so much that I named my daughter that, plus it went well with the middle name I had picked out; Rae.

I always thought it was Irish in origin, but the only place I have found the exact speeling is on the website for the "Manx" language. There it means "willow". Anyone have any ideas?
