What's your first name? (You don't have to tell me.) You should choose a Hebrew name that sounds similar, then your friends and family won't have such a hard time changing. Also, you should choose a name that fits you. That part is hard, but it would be really hard to use a name that didn't fit your personality. Baruch Ha-Shem Adonai! Y :)

my name is Michele. I could use Michal, but i worry that i will be called Michael. or Michaela, but i have a cousin with a bratty little girl named Machaela, so i worry about them being too close. i plan to use my hebrew name as the name i always use. i will be okay if family continues to call me by my old name, though, since i do understand that it will be hard. i have been working on this for awhile because i want something that feels right. something that makes people think of a jewish name, but works well in english and hebrew with a slight pronunciation difference
