-evska is a Slavic ending especially popular in Macedonia; and Romanians are not Slavic. Besides, Romanian last names generally end in -iu or -escu. And if the ancestor was named Petar, the name would be Petrovska. I am willing to bet that Petre is some dialect form of Petar.
I am an angel, honest! The horns are there just to keep the halo straight.
