yeah i know romainian's arent slavic... and i asked my mom and she confirmed that petre is a macedonian name. im not sure about the spelling. it could be wrong...but yeah the important thing is i found out that petre is our version of peter.

Petre is RomanianPetre is Romanian form of Peter and Petru is Romanian Corsican The last name looks Macedonian to me also. Romanians are referred to as Slavic but they aren't

Hmmm...I don't know who "we Romanians" are, but the inhabitants of the country of Romania are Dacian, not Baltic:

Your absolutly right Romanians are Dacians. The country is often referred to as Slavic or Balkans which it isn't either one. It's just an eastern european country right I'm Romanian and Bulgarian Roma on my father's side. The family name was Simeonescu before it was changed to Sims. Are you an eastern european?
