That one reminds me of Aleric, a form of the Old German name Alarich (English form: Alaric - try the link.)

...in that case, "'e's liar" (anagram of Aleris) 'cause the name Aleris is no more Greek that McKenzie !

Actually it is Greek, judging from the only research i was able to do on it

I was only able to find it in a couple of name books, and each time it was traditionally a Female Greek name. It did not however have any meanings for it.
