I did a quick search on Yahoo hoping to find out more about this name.

Quddus himself says his name means "man of peace." http://www.mtv.com/onair/meet_the_vjs/vjs.jhtml?vj=Quddus

On the other hand, this Wikipedia article about Quddus lists the meaning as "the most holy." It appears this Quddus is connected to the Bahá'í faith, so Quddus (or Quddús) may be a name with Persian rather than Arabic origins.

On edit: Yet another link to a page relating to the meaning of Quddus. It looks like you're right; this is a name with Arabic origins. This link says Quddus means "the holy," so I figure Quddus the DJ is probably just mistaken about the true meaning of his name.
