I was named after a student of my mother . She taught in an Icelandic community in Manitoba Canada. I have looked on your name meaning pages. I can find Valdis and other similar names but not mine. I have met other Valdeens in the Gimli area of Manitoba. Is our name a derivitive of Valdis? Hopefully you can help. Thanks. V.B.
