Does anyone know the meaning of the name Mentaha? I have a good friend whose name is Mentanna. The way she got it was when her dad was a little boy, one day he walked through a cemetery on the way to school and he thought he saw the name "Mentanna" on one of the gravestones. He really liked the name and it stuck with him all his life, and he ended up naming his daughter that. Well when Mentanna was older they went back to where her dad grew up and went back to see the gravestone only to find out that he had misread it and it really said "Mentaha." They don't know the origin of this name, so they've been looking for years, and I was also curious because I'm thinking of naming my daughter after Mentanna. Any suggestions? They think Mentaha might have been an Indian slave, but i'm not sure if that meant from India or Native American.
