Hyatt: correct, Huxley...Probably relates to the place name Huxley. The name is a problem, 'cos even the great Eilert Ekwall in his Concise Oxford Dictionary of English placenames can only suggest Hôc's field, Hôc being another monothematic Old English name.

Hanks & Hodges confirm what you thought was the meaning of "Hyatt".As for "Huxley"... Rather than meaning "from Hugh's meadow", the name probably means "from Hucc's meadow". "Hucc" being an Old English personal name.P.H. Reaney didn't seem to shed much more light on the meaning of the name, either.-- Nanaea
