I have found two different meanigs and origins for this name.

Arlo (m) Origin: Spanish Meaning: The barberry
Arlo (m) Origin: German Meaning: Hill

Are these accurate?

Secondly is the name Arlis(m)related to Arlo?

Arlow and Arliss...

Arlow = from Harlow in Essex or Harlow Hill in Yorkshire. Harlow = 'the mound of the people' (a public meeting place)
Arliss = 'ear less'

Both English surnames (Reaney and Wilson, Dictionary of English Surnames)

I suggest you check the Spanish meaning in a Spanish dictionary :)
