Hi, I am brazilian and I never found the meaning of my name. I only know there was an ancient writer called Stäel. I think this name is french or german.

"Stael" is a Middle Dutch word meaning "steel". The writer you're thinking of is most likely Madame de Stael. You can read her biography at this link:
