Re: Does any one know the meaning of Arushma?
in reply to a message by Rene
http://members.fortunecity.com/instrument2000/namamhs.htm shows an Arusma Delima, and I can also find references to Arusma Papillons. No, I do not think it is unique, just a variant spelling. Not quite clear as to the meaning, however. The other name Vashma the OP asked for sometime back might be more rare: in Sanskrit, Bhasma means ashes (etymologically `chewed' or `devoured') :-) but Vashma is the common word for some dye: species of Indigo or Black Henna or something ... I did not follow up. To OP: increasing the number of ? in the subject line is unlikely to jog people's memory into suddenly remembering what they do not know. What would be far more useful would be to replace those with a description of your ethnicity, the language your parents spoke, their religion if they had any and you know it, and where your guess where (i.e. which language/country/continent) your parents (or whoever you think named you) may have gotten the name from.
