Re: Someone who knows the meanings?
I don't know the meanings AT All! What amazing names. But your request isn't silly at all. May I suggest that you Google for the nearest embassy or consulate of these countries and contact them by letter or e-mail (if they provide their e-mail addresses to the sometimes spamming public ...)? I'm sure they'd be delighted to assist - anyone who takes an interest in their cultural life will be appreciated.Once I taught a boy who'd been very naughty very often - juvenile court appearances etc - and was fascinated by China. The Chinese embassy near my home gave me this kid's full name in Chinese characters so he could decorate his room with it. They couldn't have been kinder.

Thank you, AnnezaI'm glad you found the names interesting! But I dunno, it seems a bit strange writing to embassys to know the meaning of some names...
But you're right, embassy people is very helpful. I live in Sweden, and in elementary school we wrote small books about a country in Europe. My best friend and I chose Greece, and wrote to the Greek embassy in Stockholm, and they sent a lot of interesting material - that was great!
