I've always heard it pronounced "cue-KAH-lain" myself, so I don't think I can help you clarify it. :-)

Thanks anyway! He was the hero of an old epic, so it's likely that no one really knows how his name was pronounced.

Lol, actually . . .He was the hero of an old epic that was passed down through oral history, so there almost certainly is an existing, correct pronunciation.
