Ariene is not a Welsh name...
in reply to a message by Toni
Arian is the Welsh word for silver. It's not really found by itself as a name, but appears in compounds like Arianwen or Arianrhod.
It's pronounced arry-an.Ariene looks like either a form of Ariadne (which I've pointed out before) or an attempt to 'prettify' arian.Carys is pronounced to rhyme with Paris said in the English way: pah-ris, not pare-is. So the pronounciation is cah-ris, not care-is.Eira = ayra.

I would like to find out the meaning of the name "Nudd"
My old family name is Nudds, often meaning "Son Of Nudd"...
In Welsh I understand it is pronounced "Neath".Do you have any insights into the Welsh naming and meaning of Nudd?Appreciate any feedback or help you might be able to provide.
Other than Gwynn ap Nudd, Nudd Hael and several other "comments"
I am at a loss as to the origination of this family nameThanks, my best regards
