I have been researching my last name for some time. My last name is DENNISON. Most books say it means Son Of Brown Warrior or Fighter. I have been told also that the name Dennison is also Scotish/Irish. I'm a Native American, A member of The Ramapough Mountain Indians of New York and New Jersey. I do know their are many Dennison's on the Navajo/Apache Indfian tribes, the Navajo have the ( Denne). " Son of Denne",?, Son of Brown Warrior or fighter sounds like it might be native, I really do not have the slightest idea. I would appreciate any help. Thank you!
