Subject: Meaning of Sauron & Gandalf?
Author: Lucille   (Authenticated as Lucille)

Do you know what the meaning of these male names might be? I know it's mentioned in "Lord of the Rings", and they might be of Sindarin origin.

I know it's pretty likely that Sauron & Gandalf were made-up names, but I'm not sure, since other LOTR names are also in the database, such as Aragorn & Galadriel. Hence me asking this.

Thank you in advance,

Lucille
