ok, please, one more meaning/opinion... :)
HI! I have one more to ask on. I went tosearch to find the meaning of the name Bronte as a female first name... didn't show.Does anyone have an idea? also what is the ocnsensus of this name as an attractive , unique , maybe? quirky name for a woman? Bronte was a character played by Andie McDowell in the 1990's movie "green card" a light ramantic comedy that is, if nothing else, refreshing after a grueling day :)
thanks much
Blessings and Be well,
~suz

Bronte is a last name...as in Charlotte Bronte (hated her books BTW, sooo boring), never heard it as a first name.

If I recall, the father of the novel-writing sisters was originally named Prunty, and changed it to Bronte for reasons of pure snobbery.
