Ilusión
I just caught part of "The Dog Whisperer," and this is the name of Cesar Millan's wife. I've never heard it before, but it's so pretty... obviously it's the word 'illusion' in Spanish, but what does it refer to? Is it part of one of the names for Mary?- mirfak

It's not a Marian name, but a name of fantasy.

Thanks - I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean by a "name of fantasy." Any particular sort of fantasy, and to what "illusion," or kind of illusion, does it refer? Or is it just the same as using a word like Imagine as a name in English?

A name of fantasy is a word used as first name: Mariposa (butterfly) o Hada ("fairy"), e.g.I suppose that Ilusión (thrill, excitement in Spanish) refers to parents' feels about having a daughter.
