Does anyone know what Ike is a nickname for? It was my grandmother's brother's name, but both are now deceased, and we have no record of the original birth certificate & therefore do not know what Ike's "official" name was. Thanks so much! (Doing research on the family tree).

Ike could also be a nickname for Dwight - as in President Eisenhower.

Eisenhower earned the nn Ike because of his last name not because of his first name.
