I have a strange middle name Ysolda can s=also be spelled Isolde
My mother thinks it comes from the bible but not sure

hey that's my first name, spelt like that too - it's origins are celtic. It comes from the legend of tristam and ysolda which was coopted into the arthurian cycle. there is also and opera (by wagner i think) about tristan and isolde (which is now the most common spelling because of said opera)

Nope, it's not from the Bible. Ysolda is a var. of the Old German name Isolde. Alternatively, it can be derived from the Celtic name Esyllt.
