Does anyone know for sure where this name comes from and what it means? I've read that it is French, also German and Celtic. It does look like it comes from the name Guinevere, and I know it's a very old name. I've read two different meanings, one is white wave and the other something to do with race of women. On this site it refers to St. Genevieve of Paris.
