SSA list coming out tomorrow
Since I got a call this morning from an Associated Press reporter, I know that the Social Security Adminstration will be releasing their list of the top 1000 names of 2006 in the USA tomorrow. Their website in fact now says that the data will be available after 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time:

The reporter read the top ten lists to me over the phone (didn't seem to be many changes from 2005). And he also said that Katrina dropped considerably. That was a surprise to me, as previous hurricanes such as Camille and Alicia have actually caused a short-term increase in the use of the name, but I guess Katrina must have crossed some mega-disaster threshold that had it going the other way. :)
