HELP! Can't find a name.
I am looking for the meaning of the name Itamael. The only thing I know about it is that there is an Itamael Lima who keeps popping up with a Google search. Itamael sounds like a Hebrew name. Tam, in Hebrew means perfect, El means God. The perfection of God seems like a plausible translation but I'm looking for etymology and history not speculation. Anybody have any ideas?Responses should be forwarded to ybennoach@gmail.com ... thank you.

It most likely Praise from GDIta is a form the Hebrew Yehudit meaning Praise. Mael is a combination of two Hebrew elements – the letter mem which serves as a preposition meaning 'from' and El meaning GD. Mael - from GD - is a common Hebrew name suffix.
