Thanks for the offer Nan, but actually the process is almost entirely automated. I've written a program which reads my HTML files (eg a.html) and pulls out information on each name, such as meanings, languages, and keywords. At the same time the program builds lists of names that sound alike and names that are related to one another (based on the links between names). When it's done it creates look-up files which I must upload to my website for the search scripts to use.
While the program is going through the names it does some error checking on the entries, looking for common typos (teh, englsih, etc), broken links, and alphabetization mistakes.
The way I have it set up right now, the process is tedious and needlessly complicated, but it's much easier than going through "by hand" and indexing the names.
