Watson as a First Name
I've posted here before inquiring about some Austrian names from genealogy and now I've got a question about a Polish name. My great-great grandfather's name was Watson Anthony LastName. He was born in Poland in the mid 1870's. Watson is not in the database, and I've seen other comments indicating it is a surname. Would it have been a surname known in Poland at the time, so that it was used for a first name? Do you think the name Anthony have been used, or would another like Antoni have been more common? Thanks for your help!Sara
