Khadijah means great ,she was the first wife of prophet muhammad and first believer in Al-islam

It's widely used in Muslim families - as far as I recall, it's the name of the Prophet's wife; so whatever the word may originally have meant, it now has the meaning of the beloved partner of a great man.
