Not etymologically, though the similarity in sound (especially in the accent of most of the USA) has led some parents to blend the two and respell Meredith on occasion as Marideth or Maridith.

By gum! I can't think of a more depressing name for a child than Marideth.
I was at school with a girl named Maryth, and I've always wondered if it was a version of Meredith/Mary ... if so, she got off lightly.
