Hi there. My name is Sonnich and I´ve heard some different stories about the origins of the name. One source says it might be frisian meaning little son, another claims that the name is from a little danish island called Fanø. It´s a male name by the way.
If anybody know the true story I´d be happy to know it. If Noone are able to help, I´d appreciate some clues to good resources for this kind of information.

I did find that the name Sönnich was used on an island called Sylt. I hope you can read that. It is supposed to show up as an "o" with two little points above. I think it means "little son" but another possibility is "sun" or "light".
