I really dont kno wat my name means alot of people have it but its spelled differently. Im a African American girl from McIntosh, Ala. there are alot of funny names up here like Tolondrea, or Kionti. To me mines the most unusual because I dont know what it means. My mother name me this name because both of my grandmothers' names are Janet so she thought of Janay. She doesn't even kno what it means so could somebody please send me an e-mail or something at naynaygabby1@yahoo.com or naynaygabby@yahoo.com . The first one is my Myspace the second one is just my regular e-mail but someone please tell me what it means cause I am so curious.

i can't find the meaning of my name anywhere..
its makes me really mad because my name is really common.
but i guess not in america..

Jasmina is presumably a variant of Jasmine, a name of Middle Eastern origin deriving from the jasmine flower.

Janay looks like an elaboration of Jane.

It means the same thing as Janet (medieval pet form of Jane).
It's a variant of Janae (elaborated form of Jane).
