Pronounced: IE-ra
Means "watchful" in Hebrew. In the Old Testament this is the name of King David's priest.This is the first context I ever saw Ira in. So that's why I see it as male.Miranda

Valid pointbut in Eastern Europe it is widely used on females - and with a totally different etymology. I think Isis is Croatian, so maybe that's what caused her confusion.
I know I stared blankly at the screen for several minutes, thinking "That gotta be a typo. Of course Ira is female"
