pronounciation(s) of Gaia

How many ways are there to pronounce Gaia. I'm heard of it pronounced like Gee-a, and also Gay-a. Are those both correct?

I know a GAY-uh, but I've also heard GUY-uh used.

I say it GIE-uh, like Maia. I'm not sure if it's right, though.

I really don't know. I usually pronounce it Gee-a, myself.

I've always pronounced it GIE-A, but it can also be pronounced Gay-a. I've never heard Gee-a before.

Please choose another posting name, we already have an Iris- see my reply to you a few threads down. We really *do* have another Iris, although no-one seems to have noticed the double-up until now!

As far as I know, GAY-a and GY-a are the only correct pronunciations. Click here: Gaia
