I searched BtN for this, but it isn't listed (yet). However, I did find Dharma on Oxygen.com's Babynamer (www.oxygen.com/babynamer).Oxygen says that Dharma is male, and means "law" in Sanskrit, from the root "Dher". Quote from the commentary they put for this name:"This name is used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It means the ultimate law governing all things and the good conduct of the individual in keeping it."So, unless Oxygen's wrong, Dharma is technically a male name. Although some parents might use it for a girl, ala "Dharma and Greg". ("Dharma and Greg" is an American sitcom that I never watch. Evidentally, though, Dharma's parents were hippies and that's why they named their daughter Dharma.)Miranda
