Archivesmeaning of name
I am not sure if I have the name spelled correctly, but here goes: Ethyrius. This is a female. Has anyone ever heard this name before? I know only one person with that name. Can anybody tell me the meaning of it?

It seems to be a rare male Catholic name. There is Saint Etherius who was Bishop of Lyons, and BtN says there were 3 others http://www.behindthename.com/namesakes/lists/saintalpha.php
I can't find any instances of Etherius as a female name, but there is a female equivalent Aetheria which is the name of one of the Heliades in Greek Mythology.
I can't find a meaning but I would guess that it's related to the Greek Aether/Ether i.e. the upper atmosphere, sky
