my middle name is Deleta and after thorough research and searching out of other persons with the name i have determined that every living person named deleta was named after someone else. for example, i was named after my great grandmother, deleta townsend, and deleta williams, a senator in missouri, was named after someone else as well, along with several other "deletas' that i've contacted. interestingly, my great grandmother was from missouri... perhaps all deletas were named after the same person?
and yes, deleta is latin for destruction or destroyer. amusingly, my name, Karyn Deleta, means Pure Destruction... hehe
