Richie Valens and I could not disagree more!
in reply to a message by Ania
Are you trying to tell me that Richie Valens fell for a girl without character? A girl who was not full of life?
That is simply too far out!
"Donna "
by Richie Valens written to his girlfriend Donna Ludwig .
Oh, Donna , Oh, Donna
Oh, Donna , Oh, DonnaI had a girl
Donna was her name
Since she left me
I've never been the same
'cause I love my girl
Donna , where can you be? Where can you be?Now that you're gone
I'm left all alone
All by myself
To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl
Donna , where can you be? Where can you be?Well, darlin', now that you're gone
I don't know what I'll do
All the time and all my love for yo-ou-ouI had a girl
Donna was her name
Since she left me
I've never been the same
'cause I love my girl
Donna , where can you be? Where can you be?Oh, Donna , Oh, Donna
Oh, Donna , Oh, DonnaBrief note:
February 2. 1959 the 17 year old Ritchie Valens died, killed in the infamous plane crash which also took the lives of Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper. Don McLean was later, in his song "American Pie",
to name the tragic accident: The day that music died.
