Depends where you come from as I know as an Australian
there are different pronounciation put on names than
what there are put on the same names in America.

I found 2 different meanings from different books...

1. French 'the Cilla flower'. "Choosing Baby's Name"
by Axiom Press.

2. Diminuative of Priscilla. Cilla Black, the English Singer,
has made this name well known since the late sixties.
