With a hey and a ho and a hey non-ni-no
With a hey non-ni non-ni-no
That o'er the green cornfield did pass
In spring time in spring time
In spring time, the only pretty ring time
When the birds do sing, Hey ding-a-ding-a ding
Hey ding-a ding-a-ding
Hey ding-ading-a-ding
Sweet lovers love the Spring .
Between the acres of the rye
With a hey and a ho and a hey non-ni-no
And a hey non-ni-no, non-ni-no
These pretty country folks would lie
In spring time in spring time
In spring time, the only pretty ring time
When the birds do sing, Hey ding-a-ding-a ding
Hey ding-a ding-a-ding
Hey ding-ading-a-ding
Sweet lovers love the Spring .And therefore take the present time
With a hey and a ho and a hey non-ni-no
And a hey non-ni-no, non-ni-no
For love is crowned with the prime
In spring time in spring time
In spring time, the only pretty ring time
When the birds do sing, Hey ding-a-ding-a ding
Hey ding-a ding-a-ding
Hey ding-ading-a-ding
Sweet lovers love the Spring .

This is a very sad verse from "Lock Lomond" that talks about Spring (a bit).........For the Wee Birdies Sing
And the wild flowers spring!
And in Sunshine the Waters are Sleepin'!
But the broken Heart it kens
Nae second SPRING again!
For the way-ful may cease fray their greeting'!(the chorus)
Oh .... Ye'll tak' the high road,
And I'll tak' the low-road,
And I'll be in Scotlan' a-for ye!
For me and my true love will never want again,
On the bonny, bonny banks of Lock Lomand! So .... in someways it proves my point. There is one true spring of one's life ....... but you can never re-create it again ...... and, for me, it has become a horrible thing.**** I hope that made sense, because whatever I write never seems to.

Loud and clear! Sounds like you will henceforth enjoy spring without the Loch Ness Monster, which may be good news. Chear up, a gal's gotta kiss several frogs before finding her prince.
Tintinophile PS: Wasnt Loch Lomond Snowy's favourite whisky?

I thought Snowy, like Tintin, was too young to drink. Unless that perve Cap'n Haddock corrupted him. :)-- Nanaea

Yes everyone loves spring, hence "spring fever". But for me since I live in minnesota, summer is a blessing. Means no more snow and having to drive an hour and a half to work because of the traffic due to the bad weather. No more getting up early to clean the snow off my car. Spring and summer is like a field trip that last a few months. DRiving with the windows down, feeling the spring air on my face. Summer may need the air conditioner but still tans, the beach. Not feeling like you have to wear everything in your closet to keep warm. I say GOODBYE winter, hello SUMMER !

I enjoyed summer too, when I lived in cooler climates (Lake Erie shore and Germany). If I lived in Minnesota, I'd feel exactly as you do.Down here in the South, summer is something to be endured, not enjoyed. NOBODY ever moved to this part of the country of their own free will before A/C.

LOL I dont know where you are from, but I have a aunt who lives in Texas. I used to visit her alot before I had kids. I also have a uncle who lives in Florida. I used to go there every other year with my mom before I got married. I liked going there for vaction but it was to hot to live. But then again, Minnesota is to cold... it is a lose lose situation.
