It is not the true form of "Michael" in Mexican-Spanish, but it might be a Native American name that is typically hispanicized "Michael/Miguel."That is to say one might have the birth name "Malalchizema" and be called so on a daily basis. But the babtismal name would be "Michael/Miguel" so that he would be considered protected by that saint.Caprice's response holds water as well, with "Malalchizema" being a highly localized form of "Malachi."
