People of the world speak many different languages, and similar sounding names often have different meanings in different languages. Also, names often have derivations from words no longer in use, at least in the ethnic community that uses it. So, when asking about meanings, specify something about which ethnicity/religion/language/cultural group you think it comes from.
In Sanskrit, there is a rach meaning to create, compose, or arrange. rachita means composed or constructed. The ending -a sound is dropped in many modern Indian languages.
