Hi Mark,

Take the word "bush", leave out the b in the beginning and add an i (ee-sound).

u - short u as in bush
sch - English sh-sound as in bush
i - ee- sound as in see

The stress is on the first syllable. Uschi is a very common short form of Ursula in Germany. It is a very old fashioned name, I don't know any Ursula/Uschi who is younger than 50.

Regards, Satu
