french J'AI means I HAVE , and hebrew DA means KNOWLEDGE ...
The jewish community in North Africa spoke both french and hebrew, and the name became popular girls name, almost wishing women to be wise ....!!! Still today its a popular mediterranean and i believe also chinese name .....
Jewish communities wherever we have lived adapt easily to the country we live in and its language and still retain are native biblical language hebrew .... for example yiddish is a mixture of german and hebrew .
