Re: WHAT DOES MY NAME MEAN?
Actually, I guess even the definition "female angel" is somewhat out of place, because angels are supposed to be sexless, too.-- Nanaea

Hey, P.L.! I didn't think I was going to run into you today! Haven't you packed in for the day yet? It must be past midnight where you are! I'm taking a brief respite from playing hostess to the relatives from England right now. :)-- Nanaea

Rule BritanniaYou're talking about a country with three national newspapers -- *The Star*, *The Sun*, and *The Daily Mirror* -- each of which traditionally and regularly publishes a photo of some topless chick on either page 3, 5, or 7? (I can't remember which page number for which paper). You're talking about a country which gave us James Bond and Benny Hill? You're talking about a country which LAUGHS at their puritanical American neighbors on the other side of The Pond? And, of course, you're not married to a Brit. ;)-- Nanaea

I know you love Britannia's music, P.L. I figured that out from your old handle of "CheBanana". As in "The Pink Dots"? ;)-- Nanaea

Yep my musical upbringing is 70% brit :)) I grew up with the Beatles, Pink Floyd, mod stuff, etc. The remaining 20% is American music (particularly bluesy stuff, original and latter-day such as Tom Waits) and a measly 10% Greek music.
I knew you would eventually track the true origin of CheBanana! I used to be a big time Dots fan in my college days. If you can find it on MP3 -- or get the CD "Asylum" -- check out the Dots's "Golden Dawn", their best song.

Yep! :) And, before Daividh gets any wrong impressions about England being *sexist* from what I wrote above, just a reminder...Folks in England were watching Emma Peel kick butt in *The Avengers* while folks in the U.S. were glued to their teevees watching *I Dream of Jeannie*. ;)-- Nanaea

Just resurrecting a weary stereotype for grins, Nan. : )There seemed to be no lack of earthy activity among the Brit immigrants in our family. Someday I'll get up enough nerve to write the book, but must always remember that these people hold grudges FOREVER.I've meant to have you ask your husband: after Emma bid John Steed goodbye upon her husband's miraculous return from the Amazon, who in the Peel family took over the leather catsuit?(And while I'll NEVER disagree that Diana Rigg remains first in my heart from those days, I found NOTHING wrong with Barbara Eden either, even if she didn't kick butt. Right now I'm trying to picture Michelle Yeoh in a harem outfit and wondering if it would be a net improvement on Jeannie.)You know, it's a shame that our culture puts such an emphasis on youth, because it short-changes those ladies over 55 who still retain a lot of allure. On the Brit side, both Diana Rigg and Judi Dench make MY list...

"Just resurrecting a weary stereotype for grins, Nan. : )"@@@@ I knew that, Daividh. It just amused me to bust yer chops! :)"There seemed to be no lack of earthy activity among the Brit immigrants in our family. He was such a horn dog. :)"You know, it's a shame that our culture puts such an emphasis on youth, because it short-changes those ladies over 55 who still retain a lot of allure.
