Where did your parents find this name? Who told them it was Choctaw?
There is a great deal of misinformation out there about American Indian names. If I were you I would search out someone who knows the Choctaw language to ask if "Anoma" could possibly meaning anything in that language. A good place to start might be the website of the Choctaw Nation:

My step-great-great grandmother was named after an Indian woman who helped her family while they were traveling down to Florida. As for the second question, I don't know.
