I was wondering if anyone knows the meaning of the last name Zabel. I believe it is German. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your help. I wonder now if it may be Slavic only because of the pronounciation. Phonetically, we pronounce it like Zob-ble. Interesting...thank you again.
