Perhaps it's similar to Nestle (the company). The founder's name meant "little nest", so perhaps if you have a local aviary, wildlife rehabilitation center or something like that, donate a little money in her name and "adopt" a bird for a year. Some of the local zoos that have an "adopt-an-animal" program give the people doing so a photo of the "adoptees", so she could have something that might give her some inspiration later on. Who knows?

Since you've given me a few good ideas (see latest posting about feral colony), you deserve the wreath just as much as I do. Besides, the baby bird might be one of the birds "adopted", and is waiting for just the right moment to appear (something in an endangered raptor or an equally endangered crane?).
