Re: Lopamudra
I have not heard Lopa as a name. lopAmudrA, from lopa (from lup, originally meaning to break and possibly cognate with English reave) meaning abolition or disappearance and mudrA (from mud, to gladden) meaning seal or signet, is a very famous Rgvedic name (A very famous and accomplished woman, author of a few verses of the Rgveda, wife of the sage agastya who had `created' her with his religious power, who was ambitious for herself and who forced her husband to get worldly riches for her sake.)

Thanks! You are right about the mythological reference, but I have read the name Lopa in a story published in a leading Hindi newspaper and before that, long time ago I read that the name Lopamudra is of two different ladies. Since this name is very old, there might be some confusion.
