French name

As I understand it, Meyone is French and means cute. Is this right? It is a female's name, ethinic background black.

This is probably a respelling of Mignon, a name which was created from the French word for "cute" or "dainty" but which is not used as a name in France. It first occurs in the novel Wilhelm Meister by the German writer Johann Goethe.

It might be a tortured form of "mignonne", meaning cute.

The French word for "cute" is "jolie". I've never heard the word Meyone, it may be Cajun Frech perhaps?Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if only one remembers to turn on the lights
